How to Make Vanilla Panna Cotta with Berries
Bloom the Gelatin: Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold water in a small bowl and let sit for 5–10 minutes.
Heat the Cream Mixture: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Stir until the mixture is hot.
Combine Ingredients: Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and bloomed gelatin. Mix thoroughly until dissolved.
Chill the Mixture: Pour into serving cups, cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Prepare the Berries: In a bowl, combine mixed berries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Toss to coat and let sit for 10–15 minutes.
Serve the Panna Cotta: Invert the cups onto plates or serve directly. Top with macerated berries.
Notes
Optional: Garnish with a sprig of mint for a fresh touch.
