Steps to Cook
Slice the Beef: Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain and set aside.
Prep the Veggies: Mince the garlic and slice the red bell pepper.
Heat the Skillet: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the Beef: Add the sliced beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet.
Sauté the Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
Combine Everything: Return the beef, add sauces, brown sugar, and chili flakes, and stir well.
Thicken the Sauce: Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for another minute.
Add the Basil: Stir in the fresh Thai basil leaves until they wilt slightly.
Serve it Up: Serve hot over jasmine rice.

Garnish with chopped peanuts or additional basil for a crunchy twist.
