Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with the tablespoon of sugar. Allow them to rest for about 10 minutes, encouraging their natural juices to emerge.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form, which typically takes about 3-5 minutes. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks develop.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it's smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped cream mixture.
  4. Carefully slice each croissant in half horizontally.
  5. Spoon a generous amount of the cream filling into each croissant.
  6. Top the cream filling with a few slices of the macerated strawberries.
  7. Replace the top half of each croissant gently to enclose the filling.
  8. Dust the filled croissants with powdered sugar and garnish with additional sliced strawberries. Serve immediately.
