How to Make Sausage Bread Rounds
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a skillet, cook the sweet Italian sausage with chopped garlic, pepper, and oregano until browned and fragrant.
Mix in the beaten egg and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese.
Divide the thawed bread dough into equal portions and roll each into circles about 4 inches in diameter.
Place a scoop of sausage mixture in the center of each dough circle, add mozzarella, and the remaining Parmesan.
Fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
Arrange rounds on the baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with garlic powder.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving warm.
Notes
Serve with marinara sauce for dipping if desired.
