  • 1 pound Smoked sausage kielbasa or andouille recommended
  • 4 cups Green cabbage shredded
  • 1 medium Bell pepper any color
  • 1 medium Onion sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For Serving
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped green onions optional

Method

How to Make Sausage and Cabbage Stir Fry
  1. Slice the sausage into bite-sized pieces to ensure even cooking.
  2. Shred the cabbage, slice the bell pepper and onion, and mince the garlic.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  5. Toss in the sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Gently stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for another 3-5 minutes until tender.
  7. Pour soy sauce and sprinkle paprika, stirring well; adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions if desired; serve hot.
