Preparation
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to create the perfect roasting environment.
Prepare the cabbage by removing any outer leaves that may be wilted or damaged. Cut the cabbage into 1-inch thick slices.
Arrange the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with olive oil.
Season the steaks with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar if desired.
Roast the cabbage steaks in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Remove them from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh herbs.
Serve warm as a side dish or a vegetarian main.
Notes
Optional: Serve with a squeeze of lemon for a zesty kick!
