Method

Instructions
  1. Melt the butter and marshmallows in a large saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and glossy. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Combine the peanut butter into the melted mixture, stirring until fully blended and creamy.
  3. Mix in the protein powder and vanilla extract. Remove the saucepan from the heat, ensuring everything is well combined.
  4. Fold in the Rice Krispies cereal gently until each piece is coated in the gooey mixture.
  5. Prepare an 8x8 inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
  6. Transfer the mixture into the lined dish. Using a spatula or greased hands, press the mixture down firmly and evenly.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top while the mix is still warm, pressing them in gently.
  8. Cool the treats at room temperature for about 30 minutes until firm.
  9. Slice the cooled treats into squares and enjoy!
