Instructions for Pecan Pie Bars
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x9-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper, allowing some overhang.
Combine the flour, powdered sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Stir these dry ingredients together until well blended.
Incorporate the cold, cubed butter using a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture takes on a coarse crumb texture.
Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking pan.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until it turns lightly golden.
Whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until smooth.
Stir in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Pour the pecan filling over the baked crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 20–25 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed.
Cool the bars in the pan on a wire rack for about 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting.
Lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment overhang and carefully cut them into squares or rectangles to serve.
Serve your Pecan Pie Bars as they are or with a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
