Ingredients

For the Filling
  • 8 oz Feta cheese crumbled
  • 8 oz Ricotta cheese smooth texture
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp Lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley chopped
For the Wrapping
  • 1 pack Phyllo dough for layering
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter melted
For the Drizzle
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1 tbsp Red chili flakes adjust for heat preference
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

Method

How to Make Oven Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, ricotta cheese, dried oregano, lemon zest, and chopped parsley. Mix until well blended.
  3. Unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a damp kitchen towel to prevent drying out.
  4. Take one sheet of phyllo dough, brush it lightly with melted butter, and layer another sheet on top.
  5. Repeat with 3-4 layers, then cut into rectangles measuring about 4x6 inches.
  6. Place a spoonful of the feta mixture at one end of each rectangle, then fold the sides over and roll tightly to form a log.
  7. Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush with more melted butter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  9. While baking, combine honey, red chili flakes, and lemon juice in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until warmed.
  10. Remove rolls from the oven and drizzle with the chili honey before serving warm.
