How to Make Nutella Cake Filling
In a mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened unsalted butter until it's creamy and smooth. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
Scoop in the rich Nutella and mix it with the creamed butter. Beat until well combined and fluffy.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until fully incorporated.
Pour in the heavy cream, mixing until the filling is smooth and velvety.
If desired, stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
Use the Nutella filling right away to layer or frost cakes or cupcakes.
If not using immediately, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Notes
For an extra touch of indulgence, top with grated chocolate before serving.
