How to Make Monkey Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan or a round cake pan with melted coconut oil.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients by mixing together the whole wheat flour, protein powder, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk the wet ingredients in another bowl, blending the unsweetened applesauce, almond milk, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. If you're adding nuts, gently fold them into the dough.
  5. Shape the dough by pinching off small pieces (about 1 inch in size) and rolling them into balls.
  6. Coat your dough balls by dipping each one into a mixture of cinnamon and melted coconut oil.
  7. Layer the coated dough balls into your prepared bundt pan, stacking them evenly as you go.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown.
  9. Cool the monkey bread in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate.
  10. Enjoy by pulling apart those lovably gooey pieces while still warm.
