How to Make Moist Protein Mug Cake
In a microwave-safe mug, mix together the almond flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sweetener until well blended.
Incorporate the egg, milk, applesauce, and vanilla extract into your dry mix. Stir until you have a smooth batter. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
Place your mug in the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute. Check for doneness and microwave in 10–15 second intervals if needed.
Let the mug cake cool for a minute or two before enjoying.
Serve topped with yogurt, whipped cream, or more chocolate chips.
