How to Make M&M Cookie Bars
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line your 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Fold in the M&M candies and chocolate chips, if using.
Pour the cookie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
Press a few extra M&M candies into the top of the batter.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Lift the bars out using the parchment paper overhang and cut them into squares or rectangles.
Serve and enjoy your homemade M&M Cookie Bars!
