How to Make Lemon and Lime Tart
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix the flour, powdered sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl.
Add the cold butter cubes and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in the egg yolk and add ice water until the dough forms.
Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan evenly and prick the bottom with a fork.
Bake the crust for 15–20 minutes until lightly golden. Let it cool.
Whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar until smooth.
Stir in the lemon juice, lime juice, lemon zest, lime zest, heavy cream, and salt until combined.
Pour the filling into the cooled tart crust.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the filling is set but jiggles slightly in the center.
Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Dust the top with powdered sugar before serving.
Slice and serve the tart chilled.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream for an extra indulgent touch.
