Method

How to Make Korean Ground Beef Bowl
  1. Begin by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking it until it’s beautifully browned, around 5–7 minutes.
  3. If there's excess fat in the skillet, carefully drain it.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the sauce over the browned beef, stirring to ensure each piece is coated. Let it simmer for about 2–3 minutes.
  6. Divide your cooked rice evenly among serving bowls.
  7. Generously spoon the seasoned ground beef over each bowl of rice.
  8. Arrange the steamed broccoli, shredded carrots, and sliced cucumber on top of the beef.
  9. Finish off by sprinkling with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  10. Pair the bowl with kimchi on the side for an authentic touch.
