  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder unsweetened
  • 1 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup for sweetness
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt to balance sweetness

  • 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips for melting on top
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Flakes for added texture

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a food processor, combine the pitted dates, nuts, nut butter, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend until well combined and sticky.
  2. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down firmly and evenly.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to firm up.
  5. Carefully remove the mixture from the baking dish and cut into bars or squares.
  6. Drizzle melted chocolate over the bars or sprinkle with coconut flakes if desired.
  7. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
