How to Make Garlic Butter Pan Seared Pork Chops
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels, ensuring they’re moisture-free. Generously season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, pour in the olive oil and heat over medium-high until hot.
Add the pork chops to the skillet in a single layer. Sear for about 4–5 minutes without moving them.
Carefully flip the pork chops over and cook for an additional 4–5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic, cooking for about 1–2 minutes.
Stir in the thyme and rosemary, cooking for an additional 30 seconds.
Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them to coat evenly.
Transfer the pork chops to plates, drizzling them with the remaining garlic butter sauce. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
Always pat the pork chops dry before seasoning to ensure an excellent sear and crust.
