Oilfor frying; enough to cover the bottom of the skillet
Set up your breading station. In three separate bowls, place flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and a mix of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in the third.
Bread the chicken. Dip each chicken cutlet into the flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture.
Heat the oil. In a skillet, pour about 1/4 inch of oil and heat over medium-high heat.
Fry the chicken. Fry the breaded cutlets for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Preheat the oven. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and slice the slider buns in half.
Spread the marinara. On the bottom half of each slider bun, spread a spoonful of marinara sauce.
Layer the chicken. Add a piece of crispy chicken cutlet on top of the marinara.
Add more sauce and cheese. Spoon additional marinara over the chicken and sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
Cap the sliders. Place the top half of slider buns over the cheese.
Bake the sliders. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
Garnish and serve. Optionally garnish with fresh basil leaves.
To ensure the perfect crunch, slice chicken breasts evenly. Take your time with the breading for maximum flavor. Avoid overcrowding the skillet while frying.
