Baking Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture gradually, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
Scoop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Cool cookies on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Serve warm or store in an airtight container.
Notes
Optional: Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking for extra flavor.
