Method

How to Make Baked Cinnamon Swirl Protein Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking dish with melted coconut oil.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients: rolled oats, protein powder, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Stir well.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients: unsweetened applesauce, almond milk, honey, and vanilla extract in another bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
  5. Prepare the cinnamon swirl mixture by combining brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Layer half of the batter into your baking dish. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over this layer.
  7. Top with the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon mixture on top. Swirl gently with a knife.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
