Combine the cheeses in a medium bowl until well blended and creamy.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
Cut the dough into equal-sized circles, approximately 6–8 inches in diameter.
Fill the dough with a generous spoonful of the cheese mixture, leaving a border.
Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and seal the edges.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) while preparing the calzones.
Brush the tops of the calzones with the beaten egg.
Arrange the calzones in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Air fry the calzones for 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
Serve warm alongside marinara sauce for dipping.

Optional: Garnish with fresh basil for added flavor.
